About us
Oftex is a family business that has been sorting and processing used textiles for more than 35 years. We do this with an enthusiastic team of approximately 50 employees in Ridderkerk, Rotterdam Soerweg7 and Rotterdam Van Veenendaalweg 18.
Our mission is, through fine-meshed sorting of textiles, a transparent working method towards customers and suppliers and the ability to flexibly respond to changing market conditions, to limit the percentage of (textile) residual waste to a minimum and to maintain domestic employment within this sector. We find sustainability and safety very important in implementation.
We distribute our products both in Europe and internationally through our own stores, supported by a robust network of more than 300 partners.
Certification
In addition to our membership of the Textile Recovery Association (VHT), we are also certified according to the Textile Recovery Certification Scheme, which is checked annually with an
audit by KIWA. In this way we demonstrate that we comply with relevant legislation and regulations and we provide
insight into the origin of collected textiles.
