Pisatex Gulf was founded in 2004 and is located in the Jebel Ali Free Zone UAE. Our core activities consist of buying, sorting, packing and exporting used textiles for the African markets.
We are a KIWA-certified sorting company and operate in accordance with the benchmarks set out in the VHT Certified Sorting Process.
The used textiles are bought by the kilogram from different European textile collection companies. The textiles are sorted according to condition and material in several stages in the production hall. Sorting is an intensive and meticulous process aimed to meet the demands of our clients. The sorted products are packed, depending on their quality, in plastic bags, big bags or compressed into bales.
At our location we have a production capacity of 10.000 tons of sorted textiles per year. Currently our team consists out of 75 skilled and motivated employees.
Daily our team of 75 employees sorts up to 35 tons of used clothes, textiles and shoes producing more
than 250 articles in different qualities through a high-quality manual sorting process. Seamlessly we are
able to meet the specific requirements of the global 2nd hand markets as well as supplying local shops.
Through a manual detailed sorting process we ensure the lifespan of used textiles is extended. In doing
so they are kept out of the waste and in the cycle.
Located since 2004 in the Jebel Ali free zone, sorted clothing is not our only item. Through a certified process we are able to offer a wide range of shoes and home textiles such as bed linen, towels and curtains, as well as accessories such as bags, belts and hats in various qualities. We comply with European quality standards for textile circularity acknowledged and audited by KIWA.
